„The Duchess” has come to complete the series of „The Other Boleyn Girl” or „Elisabeth” because of the time and epoquee that the movie wants to revive. „ The Duchess” successfully shows a full chronicle of the life of The Duchess of Devonshire, Georgiana Devonshire, who, like Princess Diana, is adored by everyone for her glamorous style. Every man in the country adored the Duchess as she managed to conquer all of them by her ravishing acting. Still, only one of them couldn’t be conquered by her and that was her husband, the Duke.
But when the Duchess wanted to make her duty in front of the people and follow her heart, she reached the risk to be punished by her husband and by all the London society she led. Georgiana Devonshire paid a big price for trying to stand true to her heart and passions in a world full of society rules, gossip and protocol.
The movie comes out on September 26 and stars Keira Knightley (Georgiana, Duchess of Devonshire), Ralph Fiennes (William, Duke of Devonshire), Hayley Atwell (Bess Foster) and Charlotte Rampling (Lady Spencer). The movie director is Saul Dibb and Paramount Vantage will release it.
A story written by Saul Dibb, Jeffrey Hatcher, and Anders Thomas Jensen from the book by Amanda Foreman shows all the ins and outs of the glamorous life of a truly loving Duchess.
Keira Knightley began her career in 2003 after co-starring in the movies “Bend It Like Beckham” and “Pirates of the Caribbean” trilogy. She also showed her big talent and her mysterious side in “Atonement.”
