China Wants to End the Milk Scare
China started to check on all the milk products inside the country. The toxic milk scandal could affect the milk industry so the health officials announced that almost 50 Chinese brands were tested for any toxic substances and they contained no melamine. 47 brands of milk and yoghurt were checked up by specialists and no trace of melamine could be found.

The recent scandal that implied 53,000 sickened children and four deaths was caused by baby milk powder discovered to have been produced in China. The milk powder contained melamine that made so many babies and children sick.

296 batches of dairy products were checked by China's General Administration of Quality Supervision after the big scandal began. Brands across the country’s major city were revised to track the melamine products. Still, an official of the agency reported to the Associated Press that "no melamine was detected."

On Friday, the European Union decided to ban every milk product which comes out of China. This can lead to serious global repercussions for the Asiatic country so Hong Kong ordered a recall of two products made in China, which were supposed to contain the melamine. One of them included a brand of Heinz baby food.

7,000 tones of tainted milk products which were produced in China had been removed from the shops inside the country. Chen Deming, Commerce Minister, said that "currently, it is extremely important to restore consumer confidence in the country's milk product brands."
