Raymond Domenech will remain France coach and is to lead the team to the 2010 World Cup, the French football federation FFF said on Wednesday.

The FFF president Jean-Pierre Escalettes said after a board meeting that Domenech can fulfil his contract until 2010.

Domenech came under fire after France's first-round exit at Euro 2008 and just one win from the first three World Cup qualifiers.

But the FFF said that improvement has been made after an initial 3-1 defeat in Austria. France defeated Serbia 2-1 and then rallied from 2-2 down to 2-2 in Romania on Saturday.
