Iran Won’t Cave In Under International Pressure, Says Ahmadinejad
Iran’s President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad reinforced his position towards the international pressure to stop nuclear proliferation saying there is no turning back for his country.

"They should know that the Iranian nation has already entered the phase of nuclear enrichment at industrial level and there was no way to withdraw even one step," Ahmadinejad said Thursday in a speech that quickly surrounded the globe.

Wednesday, International Atomic Energy Agency reported Iran is proceeding with the uranium enrichment program away from the pesky eyes of the United Nations, as the progress can’t be closely monitored.

Iran refuses to allow nuclear inspectors to visit its facilities and make an adequate evaluation, thus defying several warnings and penalties imposed by the UN Security Council.

More sanctions were announced, but “threats and psychological war will never prevail over Iran's strong and decisive will” Ahmadinejad said. He also advised the UN to respect international laws and leave aside pecuniary sanctions, because they will not be respected and only worsen the already tense situation.

Ali Larijani, Iran's chief nuclear negotiator interpreted IAEA’s report as a recognition of the peaceful program developed by his country and underlined that the IAEA and Iran can collaborate without the Security Council meddling in.

The high-ranked official didn’t miss the occasion to blame once more the UN Security Council of acting under political pressure and play the game of influential nations.
