Israeli airstrikes on facilities belonging to Hamas in the
Gaza Strip continued through Saturday, five persons being in four different
locations, official sources reported.
A first air raid targeted a populated area in the Gaza
City, four powerful explosions
being heard and numerous vehicles belonging to emergency services were seen
rushing to the area. Five people were wounded during the airstrike, two of them
being in critical condition.
Two other towns in the southern part of the territory were hit
by missiles launched from Israeli jetfighters, as the relative peace went up in
smoke.
Elsewhere, another minister from the Hamas party was detained Saturday by
Israeli soldiers in Jenin. The arrested politician is state minister Wasfi
Qubaha, as his family confirmed that other documents and personal computer were
seized by the army troops.
Israel
didn’t hesitate to announce the raids and arrests will continue until the heavy
fire launched by Hamas militants on southern Israeli territories is ceased.
Hamas and Islamic Jihad militants started a week ago an attack
with Qassam rockets on regions near Gaza
and mostly bombarded the city of Sderot,
a woman being killed in the town.
