Actress Kirsten Dunst checked herself into
rehab because she needed help to overcome her depression, as she confessed. The
26-year-old Hollywood star spoke openly about
her depression, saying there has been a lot of misrepresentation about what is
going on in her life. Her depression is serious and “should not be gossiped
about.”
The “Spider-Man” star checked into Utah’s Circle Lodge treatment facility in Utah that provided
treatment to Linsday Lohan in August and, more recently, to Eva Mendes. The
motif that determined the actress to enter rehab hasn’t been disclosed, but
there were rumours that she sought help at the treatment center due to
alcoholism and substance abuse. The actress was described as acting erratically
and in tears when she arrived at the treatment center in Utah.
“I didn't go to Cirque Lodge for alcohol
abuse or drug abuse. I went there for depression. It was a good six months
before I decided to go away,” Kirsten told E! News.
“I was struggling, and I had the
opportunity to go somewhere and take care of myself. I was fortunate to have
the resources to do it.” Her doctor recommended the treatment facility in Utah, Dunst said. She admitted
that rumours related to her personal problems have been painful for her and for
her family.
The actress is best known for her role in “Spiderman,”
where she played Mary Jane. She made her Hollywood
debut in the Tom Cruise/Brad Pitt thriller “Interview with a Vampire: The
Vampire Chronicles.” She is next to star in “All Good Things.” She denied rumours
she is dating Ryan Gosling, her co-star in the film.
