One arrest as stolen Picasso recovered in Brazil
Brazilian police recovered a stolen Picasso print and arrested one suspect in the June 12 robbery from a Sao Paulo museum, authorities said Sunday.

The print from Picasso's 1963 series The Painter and the Model was recovered undamaged Saturday in an attic in a public housing estate in Sao Paulo. After the suspect was nabbed, he confessed and led officers to the artwork.

Three armed robbers disguised as museum visitors stole four artworks, valued at more than 500,000 dollars, on June 12 from the Estacao Pinocoteca in central Sao Paulo. They overpowered several museum attendants in the daring heist in broad daylight - recorded by security cameras - before fleeing in less than 10 minutes with the four pieces.

A second Picasso and works by Lasar Segall and Emiliano Di Cavalcanti remain missing, a police spokesman said. A second suspect has been identified and is being sought.
