The queen of preteens Miley Cyrus is still a good girl, even though two sets of naughty pictures were taken of her recently. The 15-year old “Hannah Montana” star apologized on Sunday for the sexy pics, explaining that she was equally embarrassed and sorry for taking them.

The first set of photos depicting a growing-too-fast Miley surfaced on the internet the last week. The star, daughter of country music singer Billy Ray, pulled down her tank top, revealing her green bra in one of the photos. Also, she posed on the lap of her then-boyfriend, looking playfully at the camera and pulling up her top to show her midriff.

Making reference to them, Miley called them “silly, inappropriate shots” and expressed her regrets if she disappointed her fans. “Most of all, I have let myself down. I will learn from my mistakes and trust my support team,” she said.

The other set of photos will be available in the June issue of the Vanity Fair magazine. It is said that Miley Cyrus will appear topless and wrapped in a blanket. The photos were taken by celebrity photographer Annie Leibovitz (who also photographed in 1991 a nude and pregnant Demi Moore).

“For Vanity Fair, I was so honored and thrilled to work with Annie. I took part in a photo shoot that was supposed to be 'artistic' and now, seeing the photographs and reading the story, I feel so embarrassed,” read a statement issued by Cyrus on People.com.

Moreover, the Disney Channel, that rose Miley to fame with her show “Hannah Montana,” supported her. “A situation was created to deliberately manipulate a 15-year-old in order to sell magazines,” said a statement released by Disney.

Miley Cyrus’ sold-out concert tour last year was a tremendous success, and her 3D movie “Hannah Montana & Miley Cyrus: Best of Both Worlds” was a box office hit.
