“Vampire” fans are anxious to read the new
story about the love between a teenage girl and a 100-year-old vampire.
“Breaking Down,” the final book of the “Twilight”
series, written by Stephenie Meyer, one of the “most promising new authors of
2005,” as she was named in a Publishers Weekly review after the publication of
its first novel, “Twilight,” tells the story of young Bella, who moves in Forks,
Walsh., and falls for a an extremely handsome gentleman, who happens to be a 100-year-old
vampire.

Her first book, “Twilight,” was one of 2005’s
most talked about novels and it attracted thousands of readers. Its translation
rights have been sold in 33 countries.
The vampire story is not a violent one. It
is a story about different kinds of love, from maternal love and love for a
friend to general concepts, such as love for life.
“Breaking Down” has a first printing of 3.2
million copies. The book goes on sale Aug. 2. “New Moon,” the second book of
the series, which was released in September 2006, spent over 30 weeks at the #1
position on The New York Times bestseller list.
