Lynne Spears opened up about her youngest daughter’s pregnancy in the novel she published on September 16, “Through the Storm.”  Lynne Spears says that her daughter Britney has overcome all her problems and nightmares of the past few years and she believes that Britney will regain her glorious times.

But what about her younger daughter, Jamie Lynn, who got pregnant at only 16 years old? Lynne Spears said that Jamie Lynn announced her about the early pregnancy through a note. On Wednesday, at “Today” show on NBC, the mother of the troubled sisters said that Jamie Lynn gave her a note and asked her to go to her bedroom and read it.

When Lynne opened the note read that her 16-year-old daughter was pregnant, “but everything was gonna be OK, mom.” The teenage girl added that she and her boyfriend, Casey Aldridge, were going to bring up the child. Lynne Spears said that she thought “it was a joke.”

"... I kept waiting for the punch line." And she realized that all of that was true only when Aldridge, a pipe-layer from Liberty, Miss., wouldn't look at her. She admitted she had been in shock and that she started to cry. “And then she started consoling me at that point," Spears added about her daughter’s acting.

Still, she said that she blamed herself for what had happened with Jamie Lynn. "As a mother, don't we always blame ourselves? I mean, we're the first one that's gonna take the blame," she added during the show.

"We never get the credit, but we always question ourselves and say, `What did I do? We had this talk just a month ago.' I mean, I had no idea. I took a lot of the blame. I took all the blame."
