Sexual predators keep up with technology better than anyone could, and here is the latest instrument used: a PS3. The Houston Chronicle reported that a 24-year-old Kentucky man used PS3 network to play online games with an 11-year-old girl, and managed to convince her to send him nude pictures of herself.

Not only was he convincing, but he also managed to keep this up for several weeks. The girl used a web camera to perform for the man, court documents revealed. It was only when he began insisting to have a meeting with her that she told her parents what she had done.

Harry Spurger of the Harris County Precinct 4 Constable’s Office told the Chronicle that the man, who was identified as Anthony Scott O’Shea of Somerset, Ky., has been charged with promotion of child pornography, online solicitation of a minor and sexual performance of a child.

The man admitted that he had convinced the 11-year-old girl to send him the nude photos. According to authorities, he is also responsible for distributing them to other people. The girl told investigators that the man began pressuring her for more pictures and to set up a meeting. Furthermore, the predator was aware that the girl was only 11.

This incident goes to prove that keeping up with sexual predators is more of a challenge than ever. Nothing appears to be safe anymore for children, and authorities need to step up their game in order to stop them.
