Lindsay Lohan won’t end up in jail any time soon, as a Los Angeles Superior Court judge quashed on Monday an arrest warrant issued on Friday for the 22-year-old troubled actress. Judge Marsha N. Revel concluded that the “Mean Girls” star has been obeying the terms of her probation and that she only needs to show her treatment program more appropriate documentation so as to avoid future court trouble. In addition, the judge emphasized the fact that Lindsay Lohan has not failed any drug or alcohol tests. The actress’ attorney, Shawn Chapman Holley, showed the judge documentation on Monday morning meant to prove that her client had not violated her probation. Following the hearing, she said that the misunderstanding stemmed from the actress’ switch of treatment programs. “As you saw in court, this was really much ado about nothing,” Shawn Chapman Holley told reporters after the hearing. She said she expected Lindsay Lohan to effectively finish her probation. Lindsay Lohan pleaded guilty in August 2007 to a couple of misdemeanor counts of being under the influence of cocaine, no contest to two counts of driving with a blood-alcohol level above 0.08 percent and one count of reckless driving. The actress was sentenced to three years of probation. The plea followed two well-known arrests in 2007. Lindsay Lohan was taken into police custody during Memorial Day weekend in 2007 after the Mercedes-Benz she was in hit a tree in Beverly Hills. The actress was arrested in Santa Monica weeks later following a 911 call made by the mother of Lohan’s former personal assistant. The woman wanted to report that her vehicle was being chased by a SUV driven by Lindsay Lohan. Nonetheless, she only spent 84 minutes behind bars and was requested to perform community service and submit herself to drug rehabilitation treatment. In addition, she was told that if she violated her probation she could face up to a year of imprisonment on each of the drunk-driving and cocaine charges, as well as 90 days on the reckless-driving charge.
