Beyonce, Timberlake Stand More Chances At AMA

American Music Awards has its first nominations leaders. R&B star Beyonce, rock band Linkin Park, pop singer Justin Timberlake and “American Idol” contestant Chris Daughtry homonymic band each scored a hat-trick in this year’s nominations for the 35th edition of the AMA.

Artists that earned a pair of nominations include hip-hop stars Bone Thugs-N-Harmony, T.I. and Young Jeezy and country singers Tim McGraw, Rascal Flatts and Carrie Underwood.

The host of the November 18 show will be Jimmy Kimmel, this being his forth gig of this type. The Nokia Theatre in downtown Los Angeles will be sheltering the ceremony, that used to take place at the Shrine Auditorium. The audience will be indulged with the announced performances of Celine Dion, Fergie, Rihana and Daughtry.

This is the first edition that gives fans the opportunity to take part in the voting procedure, casting online ballots until November 1 at http://www.ama.abc.com. Until now the poll of 20,000 music buyers had been the means of deciding the winner. However, the nominees are still selected by retail and sales data.

Due to the fact that the four luckiest artists received nominations in the same categories, which is the case of Timberlake, Linkin Park and Daughtry who will compete for the  favorite pop/rock album or Timberlake and Beyonce for favorite soul/R&B album.

Whoever the winners, there is still time for you to decide, anyway the ceremony promises the spectacular moments they accustomed us every year.
