Dallas Stars Most Lopsided Victory Against Ducks
The defending Stanley Cup champs in almost four years, Anaheim Ducks, have lost in an outstanding game against the visiting Dallas Stars by 5-0.

Starting the month with two victories, the Ducks started the game with their minds at the first place in the Pacific Division, but Dallas kicked off with two power play goals resulted from the Ducks penalties.

The title became a far dream since they experienced the most lopsided loss of the season at the Honda Center and the fact that Dallas already has two wins against them, while the Anaheim (6-8-2) have eight games against division opponents ahead.

Their performance at this last game on Monday is said to compete at the throne of "worst game of the season."

For the first ten minutes, the Ducks controlled the game, being the good team that people are used to, with Brad May winning a fight with Krys Barch under the eyes of the 17.174 crowd at the game.

But the two penalties that the Anaheim got turned into two power play of the Stars. Mike Ribeiro managed to tip in a loose puck past Ducks goalie Jean-Sebastien Giguere during a scramble in front of the net.

After that, Jussi Jokinen, Brenden Morrow and Jere Lehtinen scored one after each other in the net of Giguere, who was pulled out, leaving Ilya Bryzgalov to play the third period. The last goal was also the second goal of Chris Conner’s career at Dallas.

The Anaheim Ducks defense was brought to silence by an enthusiastic and powerful Dallas (6-6-2) team, while Marco Turco had an easy night, with 19 saves to hand the Ducks their fourth shutout and notch the 31st of his career.

After Monday’s match, the Ducks, along with the Stars and Kings, are one point behind San Jose (7-6-1).
