After Mariah Carey was seen wearing a very impressive engagement diamond ring at the premiere of her new movie “Tennessee,” the rumors about her and Nick Cannon being engaged started, but neither of them actually confirmed them.

 Now rumor has it that they are married.

Carey and Cannon got married in a “very impulsive” ceremony in the Bahamas.

The New York Post said on Thursday the pair tied the knot in a secret ceremony in front of family and friends at Carey's house in Eleuthera, citing a source close to Carey. Among the guests was rapper Da Bratt who’s a very good friend of her.

Cannon had reportedly designed a $2.5 million ring to give to his new bride.

Although the media is all over the news, their marriage hasn’t been confirmed yet and representatives for Carey and Cannon did not return e-mails or phone calls for comment.

Even if Nick Cannon is 11 years younger than Mariah, this didn’t seem to have any relevance as a source told US Weekly their relationship was “hot and heavy.” The two of them were seen together holding hands all night and barely leaving each other’s side on April 14, in Vegas.

The couple met in March when Carey was making her video for the “Bye Bye” single and Cannon was the director.

Last year, Cannon called off his engagement to model Selita Ebanks. While this would be his first marriage, Mariah is at her second, as she was previously married to record executive Tommy Mottola. The two got married in 1993, three years after Mariah made her debut under Mottola’s guidance. They divorced in 1998.
