“Wonder Woman” Star Finds Body Floating on River
Lynda Carter, the actress who played Wonder Woman on TV in the 1970s, was still a hero on Wednesday afternoon, People reports. Carter was canoeing on the Potomac River when she spotted a woman floating in the water. She did not have a cell phone with her, so she screamed to several nearby boaters who called 911.

After the woman was pulled out of the river, paramedics unsuccessfully performed CPR.

According to District of Columbia police, the body belonged to 47-year-old Helen Johnstone of Washington. Authorities believe that she may have fallen into the water while hiking on a nearby trail.

Carter said she “did what anybody would have done” as she quickly left the Potomac Boat Club, the A.P reports.

The actress did voiceovers for video games, performing voices for the “Nord” and “Orsimer” (Orc) females in two computer games from, “The Elder Scrolls series”. These are “The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind”, and “The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion.”

She has been married twice. Her first marriage was to her former agent Ron Samuels, on May 28, 1977. They were divorced in 1982. Samuels was also agent to “Charlie’s Angel” Jaclyn Smith and to “Bionic Woman” Lindsay Wagner.

Carter later married lawyer Robert Altman, on January 29, 1984. The couple has two children, James and Jessica Altman.
