Woman Cuts A Pregnant Teen’s Womb, Steals The Baby And Claims He Is Her Own
According to the police, the woman suspected of cutting open a pregnant teenager's uterus and stealing the baby has been charged with homicide and kidnapping.

38-year-old Andrea Curry-Demus, of Wilkinsburg, is charged in the death of Kia Johnson, aged 18, of McKeesport. The teenager’s body was found Friday in the Curry-Demus’s apartment situated in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and was identified by means of dental records, Allegheny County Medical Examiner Karl Williams stated yesterday.

The suspect is also accused of stealing the baby and asserting he was her own. Curry-Demus was being detained Sunday.
In the criminal complaint, police said that surveillance cameras had captured Tuesday afternoon the two women talking for a few minutes. They went at the Allegheny County Jail to visit different prisoners. That was the last time Kia Johnson was seen alive, said Allegheny County Police Superintendent Charles Moffatt. The clothes she was wearing that day in prison match the attires found on her body.

Johnson's dead body was discovered bound at the wrists and ankles with duct tape. Layers of duct tape and plastic were covering greatly her head, the criminal complaint said. Her body was enfolded in a quilt and garbage bags and positioned under the headboard of a bed. The victim seemed to have passed away for roughly 2 days, affirmed Karl Williams. Moffatt said “a vey sharp instrument” was used to cut open the woman’s womb in order to remove the infant.

Johnson was in her 36 weeks of pregnancy at the time she was killed. Authorities attempt to establish if she was alive when the baby was taken out. Also, they are looking forward to receive toxicology tests results to find out whether she was given drugs.
